Metro accident...

There's been a Metro accident in Washington DC (on the Red Line, near the DC-MD border).

One person is reported dead and apparently, they are treating this as a "mass casualty event."

Keep all the Metro commuters in your thoughts.

So I very smartly kept calling the DC metro the "depths of doom" this weekend. As a joke, 'cos it looked like a sci fi pod thing.

The entire time, I kept kicking myself for saying that, worried that something bad would happen while we were on the train.

This just makes me really sad.

Yeah, I've stopped making any offhand comments about modes of transport anymore. *sigh*

Were you in DC this weekend? Will you be home next weekend? We're there on Friday (the 3rd) I think.
